Nail fungus (Onychomycosis) dermatophytes grow in dirt and warm, moist places. House cleaning or gardening without gloves, tight footwear and minor nail injuries create increased risk factors. Good sanitation and professional nail care can prevent or cure mild or moderate fungus infections. Severe chronic fungus infections may take 6 months or longer to treat.

Symptoms of Nail Fungus Infections
